Cookie policy

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Some are essential for a site to work. Others track what you do, usually for analytics or advertising. We use essential cookies, and advertising cookies only if you agree.
Essential cookies (always on)
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
ploomi-session | Remembers you as you move between pages, for example while you build a kit or check out. It also notes which link or website brought you here (for example an Instagram post), so we can tell which of our posts and adverts work. That note is never shared and ends with the session | 2 hours after your last visit |
XSRF-TOKEN | Security: stops other websites submitting forms on your behalf | 2 hours |
ploomi_consent | Remembers whether you said yes or no to advertising cookies, so we don't ask on every page | 6 months |
remember_web_… | Keeps you logged in on this device after you use a login link, so you don't need a new link every visit. Only set when you log in, and removed when you log out | Up to 400 days |
These are "strictly necessary" cookies. The law allows them without asking first, because the site can't work properly without them.
Advertising cookies (only if you say yes)
If you click "Accept", we load the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok pixels. They tell those companies that your browser visited ploomi and, if you buy, that an order was placed and its value. This lets us see which ads and creator posts work, and show ploomi ads to people who've visited before. We don't send them your name, email or address.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
_fbp, _fbc | Meta | Recognises your browser so Meta can link visits and purchases to the ads you saw | 3 months |
_ttp, ttcsid, _tt_enable_cookie | TikTok | Recognises your browser so TikTok can measure ads and posts | Up to 13 months |
Meta and TikTok use this information under their own privacy policies (Meta, TikTok). If you say no, none of this loads and the site works exactly the same.
Changing your mind
Click "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page. If you switch advertising cookies off, we delete the ones above and stop loading the pixels.
When you pay
Checkout happens on Stripe's secure payment page (checkout.stripe.com). Stripe sets its own cookies there to prevent fraud and keep payments safe. They're covered by Stripe's cookie policy.
What we don't do
- No advertising cookies or pixels unless you accept them.
- No analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics).
- No third-party fonts. Our fonts are hosted on our own server.
If we ever add other cookies that aren't essential, we'll ask for your permission first and update this page.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the essential ones, you won't be able to log in or check out. The ICO's guide to cookies explains more.
